“Kaizen“ is the key to Japanese success.  It includes both accumulation
of small improvements and breakthrough innovations.  Kaizen brings
about a gradual and constant change involving everybody in the
organization.  The pace of Kaizen is in small steps but its effects are
long lasting.

The basin of good house keeping in Japanese companies is a concept popularly known as ‘5 S’ which is short form of the five good house keeping concepts in Japanese language.  ‘5 S’  is a systematic people and practice oriented approach which gives raise to productivity and quality improvements involving every individual in a company who can contribute in improving his work place where he spends one third of his life.
